About us
A family run bed and breakfast, Moorclose is a rural equestrian smallholding, set in approx. 4 acres of paddocks, woodland and gardens. St Bees village and its sandy beach are approx. 1/2 mile and 1 mile respectively.

Husband and wife team Bill and Jill, with help from our daughter Becky. Now retired from their respective careers and daughter having flown the nest, we decided to open our house for bed and breakfast guests.

We have 2 tastefully decorated and comfortable en-suite double rooms, with recently renovated bathrooms..
There is also a guest sitting room, adjacent to the 2 bed rooms with sky TV and fridge.
These rooms are ideal for contractors working away from home, coast to coast walkers or anyone wanting to explore the beautiful and quieter Western Lake district.
